I finally got my funds in my acct now when I go buy stocks it gives me this error message.

Non-equity, bulletin board, OTC, pink sheet and other specific securities are not eligible for the price type you have specified.

what the hell does this mean?

Do I have to wait another  business days to trade or what - this sucks...Any help is greatly appreciated- not on what stock but more importantly how to work the etrade interface - why cant I buy right now?

Im new to trading.

the other stock you are trying to buy isnt traded on AMerican stock exchange, Nasdaq, or NYSE.

you have to wait another day or two to buy OTC stocks.

How are you entering the trade?

Give more details.

Are you trying to buy at 103?

Call an ET broker and have them place the trade.

It doesnt matter since stocks are fluid investments. Some people say buying near the open isnt a great idea, I dont know if it matters for the most part.

you make a limit order, and you get to choose where you want to buy it or not buy it at.  Id do a little more studying before jumping in.  Etrade has some tutorials you can read.  make sure you know what youre doing, to avoid losing money on a mistake.  good luck.
